It is pretty much as close as you can get to a movie adaptation of Year 1 in Grim Fandango.
Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) - Cited as one of Schaffer's inspirations for the game. I'm only recommending movies I have watched since I can't really recommend a movie I haven't seen. For those of you looking for movies that have similarities to the game, here are some which I think share elements of Grim Fandango. As Tim Schaffer says in the commentary for the game, Grim Fandango was inspired by numerous movies, most notably film noirs from the 40s. I adore Grim Fandango but sadly I don't think a movie adaptation will ever happen.
